    3. I have been out to the location of Mansfield Cemetery on Barry-Hope Trl. Were there other graves there before?? The only two stones there are for Horace d-1880 and Sarah Mansfield d-1887. I saw the old barn on down the road that says Mansfield farm 1831. Does anyone know where Ward Mansfield d-bef 1850 and wife Sarah d-aft 1850 are buried? Linda

    3. The cemetery at Harvel is known as the Harvel Cemetery as listed in the Montgomery County Illinois Cemetery Location Maps compiled by the Montgomery County Genealogical Society in 1981. It is actually located in Christian County, in King Twp. It was established in 1895 and I am supposing in 1981 when they did the maps it says it consisted of 457 graves. It also says it is located about 1/2 mile from town. I am supposing this would be east of town, since north, west and south would be in Montgomery County. Would you like for me to go find it? 3. Harvel is near enough to Raymond that someone could have been buried at Raymond City Cemetery, St. Agnes Cemetery or Asbury Cemetery. In the 1951 phone book there was a Carroll Funeral Home listed on Main St. in Hillsboro. In 1945 it was not listed. In the cemetery index showing the cemeteries in Montgomery County there is "the Harvel Cemetery" listed as "1/2 miles south of town, in King Twp, Chrsitian Co." and says there are 457 graves in the cemetery. The historical society might have a listing.
