No, it is not on-line at this time. It is the Peoria city part of the Illinois Federal Census. As Lynne said, possibly posting a query is good; also you might try the Genealogy Helplist at http://helplist.org. They have people looking up things from different counties in each state. Hosea J. Camp was on the 1820 Bond County census. H. J. Camp was on the 1830 Bond County census, in Greenville, page 228. Could not find on the 1840 census. Could not find on the 1850 census. Hosea Camp was on the Peoria County census in 1860 Lynne
Would the person who requested the BOST lookup get in touch with me please? I must have copied your address wrong as what I keep trying to send you keeps coming back. Sorry. Nora <[email protected]>
There are no Camps listed in the 1820-1860 Montgomery county Federal censuses for Illinois. However, in 1820 there shows one in Bond county (page 011 and 018) and 1860 in Peoria county (page 798). Could you have had him in the wrong county, perhaps? I am searching for information on Weert WEERTS - the only info I have is he married Angeline DETMERS on 7/22/1871 in Nokomis, Montgomery Co and ws still living there when naturalization papers came thru on 12/9/1875. I have not been able to find them since then. If anyone can help, would greatly appreciate it. Pat

Pat, I happen to have a copy of the 1880 Federal Census for Montgomery county on Cd-Rom. I searched Nokomis township, but Weert and Angeline Weerts were not listed. It is likely they moved, but I have no clue as to where. Hi Nora: I know you've probably been inundated with requests, but I have several Montgomery County families who might appear in the 1913 Farmers' and Breeders' Directory. If you could look them up, it would be great. Or, if you have received too many requests, could you tell me what library this book is in? I live in a suburb of Chicago and might be able to get there to look them up myself. I've included first names of the male family members alive in 1913 when I know them. Otherwise, I just include a family name: Williams (Preston Hedges Williams, William Baxer Williams, Cleo Williams & Forest Williams) I believe William and Preston were farmers, near Irving. Fowler (Williams Henry Fowler, Frank Raymond Fowler) The Fowlers were tinners and at some point owned a hardward store, I believe in Litchfield. Marcia Samuel Voyles is the son of Robert Voyles and Hester Morris. I am a descendant of his sister, Rebecca Emily Voyles. I have quite a bit of information on them. There are a number of books on the Voyles family and the [email protected] site has a number of people with lots of information. I am fortunate to have a picture of Rebecca Voyles. She married Tandy Caulk. I look forward to hearing from you. Bob Drennan Marcia Wilson wrote: > Dear Edward, > First, Thank you for the offer to do look-ups! Hi I copied the email address of the one that was making lookups from the 1913 Montgomery Co. Book. The mail kicked back. If anyone knows who to contact for that I would appreciate the address. I am looking for BOST in that book. There are Huber's from Pana south off 16 all the way down to the Hillsboro area, and east and west. There are many many Watts in the Greenville area as far as Vandalia and on north of Fillmore. There are several cemeteries near Mulberry Grove that include many Watts. L. Collins
Hi Edward, I would appreciate it very much if you could check the 1913 directory for the following persons Farmers/breeders: (might actually have been in Macoupin Co.) Sam Hall any Huber any Burnell any Watts Litchfield businesses: Sam Hall - a hotel or bording house any Watts any Burnell The Huber, Burnell and Watts families have been in the area since the 1860's but they moved back and forth between the Litchfield and Girard areas but it's worth a shot. You mentioned that you are researching WEERTS and DETMERS. I assume you already have all the marriages involving that surname---if not, go to <http://www.sos.state.il.us/depts/archives/marriage.html> for a searchable database of Illinois marriages. I looked just now and both of those surnames are there. Good luck. Nora PS I'll get back to you after I go to the library. PS If any trouble getting to that site, let me know as I know another route there.
