Hi, Bavaria can be a confusing term. One of my Monroe County families that arrived about 1860 - Daniel and Catherine (Jaeger) Krauss and children - are listed as coming from Bavaria. They are from towns near Becherbach, which is currently part of the province of Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany (nowhere near today's Bavaria). It turns out that in the mid-19th century, the Kingdom of Bavaria extended that far north! In my own database I have some information on local Langs (but not Heinrich) that lived in St. Clair County, but moved to Monroe County: Adam Philipp Lang m. Elisabeth Seib. They had at least 2 daughters: Elisabeth Lang (b. 1865 in Millstadt, St. Clair Co - d.20 Dec 1897 near Columbia, Monroe Co.), first wife of Wilhelm Lepp, Jr. (m. ca. 1888) Caroline (Pauline) Lang (b. 1860/1861 in Millstadt - d. 1899 Columbia, Monroe Co) the second wife of Wilhelm Lepp, Jr. (married 11 Oct 1898 in Columbia, Monroe County) Johan Philipp Lang m. Rosina ?, at least one daughter Maria Lang (b. 1839 Millstadt, St. Clair Co - d.1915 Columbia, Monroe Co) m. Georg Eckert on 20 May 1860 in St. Clair County.
