John - I'm researching my wife's GELLNER (variations Gollner/Goellner) and KOTTWITZ history. I first found them on census records for Monroe Co, Illinois (1870) shows Prussia as birthplace - have no idea where in Prussia. They were of the Evangelical faith if that's any help. If you run accross either surname, it would help immensely. The only known survivors are my wife Annette, her only sister and one cousin.
