I know Peter Schmitt was naturalized in Waterloo in 1862 and married Elizabeth Rapp in 1865. I have since learned that Peter was previously married and had four children. Name of first wife unknown. The children were Lena, William, John and Frederick SCHMITT. It's possible some or all of them were born in Germany and would have also been naturalized in Waterloo. Are there any other SCHMITTs in the Naturalization Index. (I checked with the County Clerk for the year 1862 and that was negative.) Thanks for any info. Jean Sedro-Woolley
