I need some help or guidance I am trying to find this ancestor: Carl (Charles) Heinrich (Henry) Friedrich JATHO In 1843 he purchased 40 acres of land in Monroe Co, IL (confirmed) He supposedly raised his family in Monroe Co, IL His children were supposedly born in Monroe Co His son John Jatho enlisted in the Union army in 1861 in Waterloo Today I was at the National Archives and I could not find him in the indexes to the census for Illinois for the years 1850 and 1860 Has anybody seen the JATHO family?
