I am trying to trace the Godair name also I have found a few relitives in the social sec. death index at roots.com I found one cousin from Prairie Du Rocher Alvin, who spelled his name Godair, another cousin from Renault George who spelled his name Godare. there fathers were Loyd, and Alferd. my mother was from Renault her name was Stella Godare she was born on Feb.14,1904 they lived on the right side of the road leaveing Renault going to Prairie du Rocher. her other brother was Jess he lived in East Carondelet, Ill. and a sister Ada who lived in Valmeyer, Ill. some of my other cousin name were, Goldie, Darlene,Shirley and Delores. raised Renualt & prairie du Rocher. my father's name was Simon Sale born april 2,1899 his sisters names were Matha(Franklin)Sale, Anita(Burns)Sale, Lolita(Lux)Sale and half sister Jessy. one brother Earl. mom was cousin's to the Fults family in Renault, one Fults had! a genreal store, I think Floyd Fults had a tavern and one of them was postmaster in Renualt. on my dads side around Renualt Aunt Matha(Sale)Franklin, was married to Charley Franklin there childern were Leona, and George. I think Charley Franklin was a judge in Monroe County.
