Jarrot Mansion Autumn Open House...Saturday, September 18, at Jarrot Mansion, Cahokia IL, Noon to 5 pm. The public has a rare opportunity to see the interior of the Jarrot Mansion, which has recently experienced an initial phase of renovation. Visitors will be pleased to see the meticulous restoration inside Illinois' oldest brick building. Among other events, there will be a presentation at 1:00 p.m. by Charles LaRobardier and George Pensoneau, who jointly compiled the newly available translation of all the extant records of Holy Family Church, from 1784, through 1930. This is an excellent record, over 38,000 entries, of St. Clair's earliest French settlers. There will be one copy on display for onsite research. The Jarrot Mansion Historic Site is located at 124 E.
