Hi everyone, As a reminder, Mr. Bob Burke and I are still in the planning stages for holding a Rogers Reunion and Seminar in Waterloo, Monroe Co., Illinois over Labor Day weekend 2004. Bob and I are descendents of Elder Peter Rogers (1755-1849). A long time resident of Waterloo and Rev War Vet. With his three wives, Peter Rogers had 13 children. My website: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/v/o/n/Stephen-R-Von-hitritz-VA/PDFGENE973.pdf contains info on 627 known descendents of Mr. Rogers This event will be rather loose, as Bob and I are not pros in planning or doing reunions. We have a tentantive agenda: Sep 3: Reception and Meet and Greet, Time Location TBD (maybe Morrison House) Sep 4: A.M. Kickoff and Presentation on Elder Peter Rogers and his descendants @ Peterstown House upper floor. Peterstown House Tour Lunch P.M. Presentation by Dryden Rogers/Isaiah Moses Combs author Cemetery Tour Masonic Lodge, Sword Sep 5: A.M. Attend church of choice/Open P.M. Inventory of Burke/Rogers paraphenalia Parents Stuff Close The above agenda depends on availability of Morrison House on Sep 3 and Peterstown House for the three days. Bob is checking on that. I would like to publisize this event as much as possible, but since I live in Richmond, VA and Bob lives in Greensboro, NC, there is not much we can do from a distance. As we know the Rogers family was huge in Waterloo and many desc still live in the area. If you are interested in attending, send me an email and I will keep you posted as plans come together. Steve
