I imagine that the church records of St. Augustine Catholic Church (which are on microfilm at the Belleville Public Library and at the St. Louis County Library) would have additional information about the Berg family.

As far as I know the Schanz family were of the Lutheran faith. Since there is no Lutheran cemetery in Waterloo you might inquire at the Waterloo City Cemetery. There is another Protestant cemetery adjacent to the West of the City Cemetery known as Kolmer Memorial. This cemetery was organized in 1931. There is a Lutheran cemetery at Wartburg, IL Good Luck. 1. Burr S. Goodman elected Secretary of Monroe Scout Concil
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GOODMAN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Hh.2ADE/230 Message Board Post: Hello, I have been working on our family tree for several years now, and have run into a "brick wall" on my mother's side of the family. She was a Goodman before her marriage, and her family came from MO, around Rollo. Mom's sister, aunt Minnie, said that many years ago she and her husband met an uncle Burr in St. Louis while on vacation in that city - he was an attorney. The 1920 census for St. Louis lists a Burr S. Goodman, and I came across an article in the East St. Louis Journal (Sunday November 15, 1926) stating that a scout council was formed for Monroe County in a meeting at Waterloo, and that Burr S. Goodman (from Waterloo) was elected as Secretary for the new council. I wonder if they keep records of all the scout leaders, and if anything about this person is available. I thought that someone in the Scouts might be able to ask around your area for me if you could spare the time. Thanks, Bruce
