Diana, Do you happen to know around when your Morgans came to Mercer County? The Thomas that we are looking at is in Mercer on the 1840 census. The information we are scrounging up has him married to Nancy Bollom. I haven't seen the name Sankey anywhere......yet, anyway. Census records state that our Thomas was born in PA, but we don't know where in PA. One source has a daughter for Thomas born in Northumberland. Jayne
I am in possession of the Alumni Record of the University of Illinois, 1913. It has a surprising amount of genealogical information. Piece by piece, I will post the graduates that were living in Mercer County in 1913. I will start with Aledo. People who run the Mercer County GENWEB and its subsites are welcome to post this information there. I will post them as individual postings so that it is easier to see if the info pertains to you. I think that my Morgans came in the mid-!850's. I'm not completely sure of that, though.
