I have in my database a James H. Sample, married 1887 Warren Co. IL to Clara E. Baymount. James H. Sample, is buried at the Monmouth Cemetery. He was a Private Com H of the 47th IL. His grave site is marked with a GAR emblem, it reads: Civil Army PVT 47 IL Inf. James H. was born 15 April 1849 and died 7 Jan 1900. I do not know his parents name. His wife was my kin. His wife Clara was born 1859, and died 1889. She is buried at the Monmouth Cemetery with him. Anna farich@alltel.net
