Something has just occured to me. MY William Rettig was born in Darmstadt Germany. He came to the states with his sister Mary. I read your message as WIFE Mary. This is the same guy. I have all the information you could want. I have William and Mary all the way down to me on William's side and 5 generations on Mary's side. I was told Mary & William were orphans. I will check with the lady who has all of Mary's info tomorrow and see if she gets any farther back in Germany.
