There were two William Rettigs in the Milan area about 3 years ago however they have both died rather recently. The William you do not want is in Milan Illinois. His parents are Herman & Ida. The spellings are the same and we have never been able to relate the two Rettig families. We have actually known Bill for many years before he passed away and discussed our kinship many times. I'm sure his wife is still alive in Illinois City. It seems since the William and the Rettig are common that they would be related. The Bill Rettig from Milan is my grandfather's brother. There are many Rettig's in that area let me know if I can get you other information.
