I have a 2nd great grandfather on the 1850 Federal Census Ohio Grove, Mercer County IL The same person on the 1860 Federal Census, listed as Pope Creek, Mercer Co. IL Question is this.. Is Pope Creek, as it looks on the Mercer Co. Atlas (on line) in section 5 or 6 of Ohio Grove Township? Why do I see Ohio Grove Township with Candor (Pope Creek) together. Is it now called Candor?
