Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hg.2ADI/577.1 Message Board Post: I have a little bit of information on the Lillimans. Alfred Lilliman owned a store where my ggf (Frank Larson) was employed. He also had a coalmine in town and helped establish the local Swedish Baptist Church in about 1891. He held the mortgages to some houses in Cable and the story was told that when people got behind on their payments, he would haul away their home with a steam engine. The 1900 census lists Alfred (b 1862) and his wife Mary (b 1862) with a son Henry (b 1891). I heard that Henry was nicknamed "Pooka" and was considered quite a wild kid. The Cable cemetery has gravestones for several Lillimans: Charles J. (1877-1960) and his son John, Lila B. (1892-1952) and Selma C. (1879-1952). I heard there are also stones for Gus, Jo and Pat Lilliman but I don't have dates for them. I'd love to hear more about what you know about Cable and the people there. I have a picture that I'd like to send you. It has the inscription "Mr. Hagman" on the back and I'd like to know if the pictured person is Oscar Hagman, if you know what he looked like. Please send me a note when you get a minute.
