Iris There is no library in Millersburg. The library in Aledo would be open on Saturdays, but the best source for genealogy would be the Mercer County Historical Society and they are closed between October and April. But, look here! I notice the surname CARPENTER in you line. Are we kin? You can write to the Historical Society - someone goes in and checks the mail even during the winter. It's possible that you can arrange for someone to meet you there or do a lookup for a small hourly fee. Since you have data from tombstones, you could also write or call the County Clerk's office in Aledo and ask for documentation. Iris Wanted to contact you off-site, but don't have your email address. Anyways, Alicia Ives may want to help you out with your project. She lives in Aledo and is President of the Mercer County Historical Society. Probably also knows who exactly to contact at the Court House for documentation. It would not be prudent for me to pass her email address on to you, (although the scam artists do it all the time) but she will most likely be reading this soon and may contact you with some advice. Although all of us who monitor this site are probably interested in how this works out, you should give her your email address for a more personal dialogue. Good luck in your search. gc
