The year 1852 is given in the source you gave but on the 1920 census forms, the year of John's immigration [column 12] is shown as 1853. The census information also shows that he became a naturalized citizen in 1865 [columns 12 &13]. I would like to find the ship he arrived on and also information from his citizenship papers. Do you have information on these items?
