(Probably Allen as shown in the 1920 Census). Their children Margaret and John were most likely named after Jeanette's parents, John and Margaret Millett. They moved from Reynolds to Chicago to live. Jeannette died there. Jeanette's father, John immigrated from England in 1852 as a boy and married Margaret Clelland who had come from Scotland. Twelve children were born to this union; only six of them growing to adulthood. John enlisted in the Civil War. After the war, they eventually settled in Reynolds, Illinois.
