She is enumerated as May Himes, age 45, single lady, working as a dressmaker at home. May Himes is not with her mother in the 1930 census. Need to find out what happened to her. Did she marry? Does not appear to be any May Himes buried with the rest of the Himes family. Her father is Lyman Himes, mother, Leah Elizabeth Lemoine Himes. May has a sister, Hettie, who married an unknown Mannon.

May Himes is living with her mother, Mrs. Leah E. Himes at 312 East 9th Street in Aledo in the 1935 Mercer County Directory. In the same household with Leah and May are her other children; John, Lee and Hettie. Leah is living alone in the same house in the 1940 Directory. Leah died on May 5, 1943.
