Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hg.2ADI/590.2.1 Message Board Post: Yes, Aaron is the earlier (born 1837) Jessie Yarde's father. Aaron's brother John Yard had a son James who was married to Rose Anne Waters. I believe your g grandfather Frank was married to their daughter Jessie. She was probably named after her great Aunt Jessie. Do you know in what year John Yard emmigrated to Newfoundland. Also, do you know the exact location there? I know that John and Aaron's sister Mary Ann Yard went to Canada from England. Perhaps, she went to Newfoundland as well. Her husband was Isaac Hooper.

    3. According to the 1860 census John Yard 52 was living in North Henderson with his wife Mary A. 49. Son Thomas 11 was born in Upper Canada, daughter Lucy 6 was born in Il. I have not found James and Rosanna untill 1870 and James is 33. So they had to have left England for Canadaby 1848 and they must have stayed in Canada for only a few years as Lucy was born in Ill in 1854.
