    3. My husband is secretary for Peniel Cemetery which is located east and south of Joy which is about 7 miles west of Aledo. I help him with the records and have found two Thomson's and also three Thomason's buried at Peniel. I would be glad to look at the stones to get further information for you if the names below are of interest or seem to be a match. Soon I will be walking to whole cemetery to write information off the stones that are there so I can put everything on computer for easier look-ups. We have only been at this since 2000 and we are noticing there are several burials without headstones. Our goal is to get a directory posted there with locations of all burials so you can find the gravesite whether there is a stone or not. Elsie C Thomson buried 1-6-1935 Glenn Thomson buried 12-26-1961 Margaret Bozarth buried 8-9-1959 (she is buried next to them in a lot that was deeded to Glenn but I have no idea if there is a relationship there or not) George W Thomason buried 6-11-1948 Martha J Thomason buried 12-24-1931 Stella Alice Thomason buried 4-8-1962 Lois Retherford 1156 75th Ave Joy IL 61260 -----Original Message----- From: GHarris10@aol.com [mailto:GHarris10@aol.com] Sent: Monday, May 20, 2002 1:26 PM To: ILMERCER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILMERCER-L] Thomson Have a letter written on February 2, 1944 by S. A. Thomson of 726 23 St., Moline. He speaks of his siblings David Thomson, Wm. Maley Thomson, Abraham Lincoln Thomson and Rev. John Thomson. Evidently there was an "old home place in Aledo," where twin sisters lived. Has anyone any knowledge of this family and/or where the "old home place" would have been? Many thanks in advance. Gayle T.
