For the past 30 years he has lived in the vicinity of Norwood, IL the family home being almost four miles west of that vicinity. In January 1883 he was joined in marriage to Miss Mary Shearer and to this union nine children were born, six girls, and three boys all of whom were left with their mother to mourn their fathers death. The daughters are Ruth and Lora/Laura who are at home, Miss Nancy of Monmouth, Mrs. George Litzenberger of Sunbeam, Mrs. Lou Rowley of Aledo, and Mrs. Lou Litzenberger of Davenport. The sons are Earl, Floyd and John all at home. Besides the children there are the following brothers and sisters: J. D. McNamara of Monmouth, Dr. McNamara of Kansas City, Mrs. M. Bur?s, Mrs. Charles Rodgers, and Mrs. William Rogers of Alexis: Miss Jennie McNamara of Monmouth: and Mrs. Joseph Thompson of Chicago. The funeral services were held at 10:30 o'clock on Wednesday Morning November 13, 1912 at the St. Theresea's Church in Alexis. Father Hegley being in charge. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery.
