    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Chase, Lisenbee, McDaniel, McDannold, Chambers, Orris Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hg.2ADI/98.99.100.108.299 Message Board Post: Dagan, My name is Jennifer Crunkleton. My mother is the daughter of Beryl Allen Lisenbee, who is direct line from Charles Lisenby and Abel Lisenbee. I have one question that I am confused about concerning your line. It has occurred to me that you may have miscalculated the number of greats in your family line from Charles. According to my calculations, if you were Charles' g-g-grandson, you would not be alive at this time, or you would be around 130 yrs old, and I kinda doubt that you are that old. Here is my direct line as I remember off hand(my paperwork is in storage at this time - moving): starting from my mother and going back: Barbara Annette Lisenbee(L), Beryl Allen Lisenbee(L), Ebert Allen Lisenbee(d), Louis "Levi" Leon Lisenbee(d), Andrew Jackson Lisenbee,Jr.(d), Grandison(may be one of other brothers)(d), Abel Lisenbee(d), Charles Lisenby(d). Could you give me your direct line and I might be able to help figure relationships in this line? It is definate t! hat we are related. My Great Grandmother Hazel Lucille Lisenbee(Ebert's wife) started the family research when I was a child. Before she died she instructed her daughter Anna Delores and my grandmother Barbara Ellen Lisenbee(Beryl's wife) to send me all her notes and research so I may continue the work. In her work the furthest she found was Abel Lisenbee and wife Lydia Perkins. Now we can go back even further. I may not have access to my paperwork for another month, but please keep in touch through this email and the following email so we can work together: precious_angel709@yahoo.com My name is Jennifer Crunkleton(maiden Chase). Good Luck!

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hg.2ADI/669 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate anyone who may be a descendant of Marion D. Stanton (born 17 August 1839 Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, died 11 February 1906 Logan, Phillips County, Kansas) that can tell me what the D. stands for. I am also interested in who his father was. The family moved from Terre Haute, ID before 1841 to Mercer County, IL. Marion had a sister named Sarah Jane and a brother named Michael Mortimer. It is believed that their mother was Mary A. Hoover. But finding that elusive marriage record and a father's name has been a challenge. Any help or leads would be appreciated. Thank You!

Thank you for your reply. I am still searching for information on my great grandfather, Samuel Dale Sherer. We see from the 1900 and 1930 Census' he was born in Iowa. His obit in the Wellington Daily News, Oct 31, 1934, noted he was born in Muscatine, Iowa. The 1900 Census has Samuel, his wife Emma Kiddoo Sherer, and three children, Mary Dale, Vernena Christina and Albert Foote living in Stella Township, Woods Co, Oklahoma Territory. With them was David Roscoe Wells, who later that same year married Mary Dale in Manchester, OK. The 1930 Census has Sam and Emma living back in Chase, Rice Co., KS. where they had married 52 years earlier. Frank Funeral Home, Wellington, KS, record for Sam states his father's name was John Sherer. No info was given for his mother. The 1900 and 1930 Census' show Sam's parents were born in Pennsylvania. Hopefully some of this will also help others who may be researching Sherer families. I would appreciate any Sherer info you or anyone else might have. I can also be reached at slimdoc@wireweb.net.
