My grandmother Reba Myrle Tyrrell was married to Homer E. Burns. She was the daughter of Willaim G. Tyrrell. Reba was born in 1893 & died in 1943. Her father, William G. Tyrrell was born in 1861 & died in 1927. His father was Alexander Tyrrell who was born in 1835 and died in 1902. Alexander Tyrrell's father was Samuel Tyrrell and I ahve not dates of birth or death. I believe that the Tyrrell family may have immigrated to the U.S. and first arrived in Tyrrell County N.C. This is just a guess. Any additional information will be deeply appreciated.

There is a Drury-Reynolds Cemetery which would be located a ways north of the Eliza Creek Cemetery. Drury-Reynolds Cemetery is located in Drury Township, Rock Island County, Illinois. I believe it is listed on the maps Kevin has put on the Mercer County web site. I have family buried in both cemeteries and can easily drive to them but it would take me a little to write up directions that you could follow to get there. E-mail back if you have more questions.
Kathleen, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I have just completed computerizing all the records for Peniel Cemetery which is located just south and east of Joy IL in Millersburg Township, Mercer County, Illinois. The information used to create the maps is based on information found at the USGS web site as well as Delorme's Street Map USA. Numerous cemeteries listed by the DAR do not show up on the maps, so at best, the maps are a first cut. The maps are in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format, and may be read and printed using the free Acrobat Reader available at Adobe Acrobat Reader - Download, (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html) If you would like a copy of the maps, send me an e-mail and include Mercer Co Cemeteries in the Subject line. In 1860 they are listed in the Mercer County, IL Census living in Keithsburg with the spelling of the last name as STALL. They are living next to a Samuel and Harriet STALL family. Peter seems to have died around 1865 and Catherine is back in Joliet, IL in the 1870 Census with the children. I wonder if Peter W. is not related to Samuel. Does anyone have any information on this family?

If some one can explain the connection please contact me. Also have the Margaret McGoven obit. Timothy Noonan, died, [paper broken] in Aledo, Ill., Dec. 26, 1907 at 4 o'clock a.m. He was born in county Tipperary, Ireland, Aug. 3rd, 1837. He came with his father's family to America about the year, 1851. The family lived for three years at South Borrough, Mass., where he learned the shoe making trade. He came west to Chicago and thence to Millersburg about the year, 1854. He worked for a time at farm work but soon engaged at his trade of shoemaking, continuing in the business several years. About 1859 in company with a number of young men he made the then perilous trip across the plains to the Rocky Mountains. After a few months spent in Colorado, he returned to Illinois, riding horse back all the way across what was then for the greater part a trackless wilderness. July 31st, 1861 he was united in marriage with Miss Sarah McGinn and soon after moved to the farm two miles west of Aledo, where he lived continuously for over forty years until March 1906 when he moved to his late home in Aledo. To this union were born nine children, four of whom, Daniel, Thomas, Joseph and an infant daughter preceded him to the life beyond. there remains to mourn his death, his wife, three sons, William, John and Edward and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Moseley and Mrs. Nellie Mack, all of whom were with him at his death, except John who lives at Eli, Nev. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Edward of Cummings, Iowa, John of Aledo and Mrs. Margaret McGovern of Aledo. Mr. Noonan was an enterprising and progressive man, always taking a lively interest in whatever was for the benefit of his community. He was particularly interested in the raising of fine horses in which enterprise he was very successful. About five years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he never entirely, recovered. About three months ago he grew worse and failed rapidly until the end which came peacefully. He bore his affliction with patience and always had a cheery word and pleasant smile for all. He was highly respected and universally liked. His was a kindly, generous and hospitable nature and friends will long miss his hearty hand clasp and cordial greeting. But most will he be missed in the home where he was a devoted husband and a loving and indulgent father. His furneral services were conducted according to the rites of the Roman Catholic church of which he was a life long member, at the home Saturday morning at 10 O'clock Rev. Father O. Laughlin officiating. A large concourse of friends, many form neighboring towns followed the remains to their last resting place in the Millersburg cemetery. Among the relatives from a distance were, A.P. Regan of Gibson City, Ill., and Joseph Exxex of New Sharon, Ia., both nephews of the deceased. Many he rest in peace.

I needed to post a slight correction to a couple of names on your line which are also in my family line as well. I got my info from my g-grandmother's research. Walter Dorman's wife's name was spelled Lucenia Lisenbee. She was the sister of my g-g-grandfather, Louis "Levi" Leon Lisenbee. I remember that because my m-i-l and I thought it was odd that the two's names both started with L as well as their last name. I don't have all of my research on hand due to moving home from the military, but I should have access to it in about a month and I will post it all as soon as I get it. I have the majority of the line from Abel Lisenbee to my children(that's 9 generations), plus I just found Charles Lisenby(Abel's father) through a post here. I will try to help with what I can from memory until I have my papers again. I hope that the spelling correction might help a little though to make it easier to find her info. My email is precious_angel709@ya! hoo.com. This email is my mother-in-law, but you can still send a message here too. Thanks!
