    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hg.2ADI/30.2 Message Board Post: When the 1900 census was taken, Augustus Hersom was living in Sugar Creek Township (Searsboro), Poweshek County, Iowa. He was born March 1827 in Maine and was 73 in 1900. His wife, Mary J., was born Nov. 1838 in Maine and was 61 when the 1900 census was taken. Living in the home were two grandchildren: Edith M. Hersom, born Dec. 1892 (age 7), born in Iowa; and Samuel P. Easter, born Dec. 1897 (age 2), born in Iowa. I don't know where he fits in with the other Hersoms who migrated from Maine to Mercer County, IL and then to Iowa, but I'm looking. Teri Allred (AllredTeriC@netscape.net)

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hg.2ADI/612.2.1.1 Message Board Post: Russell Welliver may have died in Henry Co, IL. I found him on the census in Henry Co I believe. I believe the Jacob Welliver that divorced Christiana was the one who died in the poorhouse. If I rememer correctly I located him the Almshouse records (LDS film 1689047). The divorce records I found on a search at the Courthouse. I was limited for time and they were busy, but they sent me the copy later. The ink must have been faded as it didn't photocopy well. I have Eli obit, too. I want to see if I can locate the obit for Allen Welliver. I will try and locate my files for area. I would be glad to send you copies or post the information as soon as I can locate. I'd like to get back the area one of these days as the deeds, court records and vital records for Mercer Co, IL have not been microfilmed. And I was not able to get through all of the records when I was there Sep. 2001.

    2. Hello list. Does anyone have access to the wills in Mercer County? We are looking for information on Thomas Morgan and his wife Nancy (Bollom) Morgan. They were in Butler Co., OH early 1800's. David born there 1816 and Abraham also born in Butler Co. 1822. Thomas and family moved to IN in 1832 and to IL 1834. Showing in 1840 Mercer County, IL census. Lived and buried in Eliza township. If we are putting this family together right daughters are Catherine and Julia Ann. Need facts from wills, etc. as there are so many Morgans in the area! Thomas  b. 12-4-1782 PA  d. 9-9-1850 Mercer Co., ILL I don't have Nancy's date of death. Would very much appreciate any and all help. Jayne Mundell

I lost Jacob and Christianna after 1880, never thought to look for divorce records. Was that in Mercer? Can't locate graves for them? I lost most of my Welliver info when my comp crashed and tree maker back up failed. Eli I have obit for, he jung himself. I don't have a first marriage before Eliza ? if not cool. Margret Cool lived with Russell and Margret Cools son Jacob named a son Russell Welliver Cool, so.... seemed a logical conclusion. I believe Russell is Christian Wellivers son also, but they tell me the dates are off (other Welliver researchers) all instist Russell son of christian born 1793. My russell is around 1816 give or take, based on census. I am looking for Russell's grave, in Henry co IL, last know location of his family. Any info would be greatly appreciated, I will share what I have or help with leg work if I can, I'm Local.

The family in Illinois is his 2nd marriage. Allen & Eli Welliver I believe are brothers of my ancestor, Elizabeth (Welliver) Ebner. Jacob & Christiana divorced and I have a copy of that from the courthouse. There's been quite a few of us working on trying to tie these Wellivers together. If I remember right, Russell's father is Christian Welliver. If I can locate it I have the census & other information on his wife, which is not a Cool. I have some obits from the area. Also, some of the Dunns later moved to IA. James Dunn, son of David Welliver & Elizabeth Dunn died in IA. I have an obit for him. The Blues were associated with a probate as Arthur Ebner was a minor at the time.
