I have finally traced my 3rd great grandparents from Jessamine Co., KY to the Bloomington area of McLean Co., IL. Jacob MESSICK and Ann MCCONNELL. Their children were: Thomas who married Ophelia MCELHINEY; William; Emanuel; Matthew; James P.; M.A. married a Mr. DENIS; Mary; Elizabeth married Simon CLINTON; Sarah married William WINKLEPLECK; Anna married Thomas J. TURNIPSEED. Jacob was born ca 1797 and Ann ca 1806 in Kentucky. They were married ca 1823 in KY and oldest child born ca 1824. They were in McLean county by the 1850 census. Jacob died about 1861. I have probate records ordered on Jacob's estate from McLean County. This hopefully will tell me more. Would like to exchange info with anyone researching these surnames.
