    2. dlott3
    3. Hi All, I am very interested in locating the family of Josie Davis. Josie Davis and Harrison C. Lott did not have any children. Harrison died first and I am searching for this Lott Family Bible that was in Harrsion's possession: The Lott Family Bible was presented to Abner & Mary Frances (Orrill) Lott by Joseph Orrill. The Bible was published by the American Bible Society of New York and was dated 1851 on the title page. I have not had any success in locating Josie's relatives in the McLean County area. I do have her will. It mentions her sister, Margaret Shield, niece Dell McQueen, and nephews Earl C.Arrowsmith and Boyd Arrowsmith. No puncuation after Earl and Boyd so were they living in Arrowsmith or was their last name Arrowsmith? I would appreciate any help. I have tried switchboard.com too. I live in MO so I don't have any of the phone books from there. This is some info I have on Josie: Josie Davis was born January 22, 1870 in Leroy, Illinois, and died August 12, 1929 in Bloomington, Illinois at the Kelso Sanitarium, of peritonitis. She married Harrison Clay Lott on January 22, 1902 in Leroy, Illinois by Pastor Thorton Clark of the M.E. Church, son of Abner Lott and Mary Frances Orrill. Notes for Josie Davis: Josie Davis Lott died on August 12, 1929. The following is from a newspaper clipping, which newspaper is unknown: Mrs. Josie Lott Dies Peritonis [sic] Fatal to Resident of This Community. She is survived by a brother, Wesley Davis of Arrowsmith and a sister, Mrs. Maggie Shields, Atlanta, Ill., in addition to Mr. Lott and Mrs. McQueen. The funeral is to be held at 10 a. m. Thursday at Beck's chapel, 116 South Main street. Burial will be in Bloomington cemetery. More About Josie Davis: Burial: Unknown, Bloomington, Illinois.
