Seek information on my g-g-grandfather John Ivins, born ca 1822-24 in NJ. Came to Illinois ca 1856. He appears in the 4th Ward of Bloomington in 1860. His wife, Caroline, died of typhoid 26 May 1861. On 20 Dec 1863 John Ivins married Alice Tutt, widow of John Tutt and daughter of John Clark. John Ivins worked for the railroad and moved to Chicago by 1870.
