Is there anyone out there researching James and Catharine Johnson in McLean Co ILL ? I have found land records for them on the BLM site that show James was buying land in McLean Co as early as 1834. Some of the land James and Catharine Johnson bought is right next to the land of my 4th greatgrandfather William P Hampton, so I am looking at James and Catharine as maybe being the parents of Susannah Johnson who married John H Hampton in McLean Co in 1840.
