Gail, I have checked for obits for the five names that you asked me to look for. The only thing that I found was a short funeral notice for Lavina Poland in the Bloomington Pantagraph. I don't do that many obit look-ups but the ones that I have have been very spotty. In addition, I was finding very little of any kind of Secor news in our local paper--it's not exactly in our backdoor. Secor may have had a local paper during the time periods you are looking for. You might try calling their library or checking with the state historical society and see if anything exists and if it would be available on microfilm. Did anyone from your Furman line ever make it here to McLean County? I found a short biography for A.D. Furman and believe I spotted his gravesite at Evergreen (Old City) Cemetery not long ago.
