Has anyone run across any reference to a Dr Johnston in the early history of McLean county Illinois ? The only information I have on the father of my 3rd great grandmother Susannah Johnston is that her tombstone lists her as the daughter of Dr Johnston. Susannah Johnston married John H Hampton in McLean county in 1840, so I assume her parents were in the area sometime before 1840. I know that John Hampton was living in the Randolph Grove or Heyworth area of McLean County , so Susannah Johnston must have been in about the same area for them to meet and marry. If anyone has any information on a Dr Johnston in this area, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks Jaime [email protected]
