Ellen: I have two Fleshers who could be of the age range to be grandsons or great-nephews of Harrison Flesher and Sarah: Charles B. Flesher, b. September 29, 1866; m. March 8 1890 to Louise Salina (Lina) Yoder [daughter of Amos Yoder YR12a36 and Catherine Kistler Lantz Yoder, both of whom died in McLean County.] Lina Yoder and Charles B. Flesher had two daughters that died in infancy. Lina died June 4 1951 in Cisco Tx. Harry Ellsworth Flesher, b. Feb. 22, 1868; m. Oct 1 1890 to Minnie A. Yoder; later lived in AZ, poss. died there. [Minnie Yoder was a sister of Lina Yoder above; the two Fleshers may have been brothers.] Harry and Minnie had two children: 1. Russell Raymond "Dick" Flesher, b. May 18 1892; died in Jan 1950 {according to US Social Insurance Death Index on Rootsweb} His wife was a Yoder, first name not known. 2. Kathryn Nancy Flesher, b. Oct 21 1894. Russell Raymond Flesher and _____ Yoder had two children: 1.Polyana Flesher, who was living in SW AZ in 1951. 2.Dickie Flesher, also living in SW AZ in 1951. {data from "Descendants of Amos YR12a36 Yoder" paper compiled by Gordon Yoder of Dallas, TX} You have probably already checked the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index where there are a good page of Flesher grooms (including all the above) and an even longer page of Flesher brides. There may have been at least two lines of Fleshers as several Flesher grooms married Flesher brides. Many of them were married in McLean County. But the Harry Flesher above appears in the list just below your Harrison Flesher who married Sarah Spahr. Maybe Harry's real name was Harrison? a grandson perhaps? Your guess is as good as mine. http://www2.sos.state.il.us/cgi-bin/marriage Jim Yoder ----- Original Message ----- From: Ellen Byrne <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 13, 2000 1:02 PM Subject: [ILMCLEAN-L] Re: ILMCLEAN-D Digest V00 #179 > My McLean co Il ancestors: Johan Valentine Spawr and wife Anna Margaret > Richter, died in McLean co, 1852-1855. > Their dau Sarah spawr m Harrison Flesher, 1835. > Another line in McLean co: Mary Ann Bue who m Patrick Lyons, both buried > Bloomington, in the Catholic Cemetery.. any clues appareciated...Ellen > -----Original Message----- > > >
