    1. [ILMCLEAN-L] Re: Barnes Surname
    2. Hi Charlene, This is what I have The 1920 Census lists a Maggie Barnes, Head of Household and only one living in this dwelling. She was Female, white, divorced and age 62 Listing of Township Officials includes the following Barnes: Town Clerks: 1867- A. G. Barnes 1870-1871-J. W. Barnes Collectors: 1868-1869- J. W. Barnes 1871- J.W. Barnes In addition to that it lists the following gentlemen ahve been elected Justices of the Peace: and A. G. Barnes is listed in that! If you think these individuals are your line, let me know as they are my line also. A.G. Barnes I believe is Alfred George Barnes and he is the father of our gg grandmother Harriet (Hattie) L. Barnes who was married to a Thomas W. Maurice Jr. in 1874. They are all buried at Greenwood Cemetary outside of Arrowsmith. Thanks, Leslie
