Below is an obituary of my ggggrandfather George W. Hargadine. The spelling in the obit is wrong. I would like to know if anyone has any idea what "Chenoa's Harrison's Veterans" are? DEATH OF GEORGE W. HEGARDINE Chenoa, Ill., April 7. - George W. Hegardine, one of our old and prominent settlers, died last night. He was born in Maryland, July 13, 1813, came to Peoria county in 1846, and to Chenoa in 1867. His wife died several years since. Six children survive him. They are: Mrs. Jane Yates, Mrs. George W. Jewel, Mrs. Mary Chambers and Frank Hegardine, of Chenoa; William Hegardine, of Kansas, and Mrs. Amanda Drummond, of Nebraska. He was one of Chenoa's Harrison's Veterans.
