Keith, the lady who is a historian in LeRoy is Mrs. Helen Hume. She is not the head of the Crumbaugh Museum, but goes there every Saturday in hopes someone will stop by. The address for the Crumbaugh Museum is 405 E. Center St. LeRoy, IL 61752. In the newspaper article she sent to me when they did a feature on her, she gave a contact phone number for her at 309-962-9391. You can write to her at the Museum, and I am sure she will get the letter. I don't want to give her home address out without her permission. The museum has more thatn 5,400 pages of history. It is open from 1 to 4 Saturdays, or by appointment. Helen is 74, and very active. She still uses an old typewriter. Does not like computers. She is very quick to reply by letter. She charges just a small fee for whatever it costs her to make a copy or a picture at the store. She is extremely involved in the community. I think she saves everything from the newspapers.
