I am planning a trip to McLean County in May and I want to bring my camera and take some pictures of the landscape. I had DART ancestors who were buried in 1890's in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery which I believe is in Anchor Township. Does anyone on the list know exactly where it might be. In about 1865 the DART ancestors were in section 29 of Anchor Township. Does anyone have a township map with the section numbers on it?? The DAR Post Office in Anchor Township was open from Dec 1876, to June 14, 1880 and was named for the DART family. On the 1870 , 1880 census the DART family is in Cropsey Township. Their farm must have been on the township lines or township lines were shifted. I would really appreciate any directions that people can give me in finding the general local of these places.
