Keep in mind also, that Anchor Twp was formed out of Cropsey Twp. at some time prior to 1900. I have family (CROTINGER) that moved into southern Anchor Twp., and seemed to gravitate more toward Saybrook in Cheneys Grove Twp than to the town of Anchor on the far north end of the twp.
