Carlene, thanks for doing the check. You do not need to find the woman who compiled the book. She is a lady who lives in LeRoy and was married to a Hume. My Gr-Aunt was her sister-in-law. We write quite frequently, and she has sent some pictures. Unfortunately, her mother-in-law who lived to be 98, threw out every old picture that did not have names on them. I just know a lot of them where of my mother's family. They always went to Weldon Springs together for events. Thanks again. I will keep trying. Maybe when I get Sarah's death certificate, that will give me a little more info on where they are buried. A lady is going to get a copy for me. IRAD is way behind on their "free" copies. Shari

Charlie and Agnes Riddle were neighbors of my gr-grandparents, James D. and Isabella in Wapella. I believe Isabella and James lived on Elm St in Wapella. they also knew my gr-aunt Stacy Reynolds Hume and husband, George A. Hume. I remember mom and dad always talking about how good they were. Dad always appreciated Charlie's humor. Mom was married to Glenn D. Underwood first. Charlie and Agnes went to my mother's first born (Betty Jane Underwood) funeral. They signed the funeral book as Mr and Mrs. Charles Riddle. My brother, who lives in KY, knows more about them than I do. I will have to ask him about them and other Riddles. I know some of them moved to Rankin. Will let you know what I find out about them. I think they came from Ky also. Isabella came from Casey Co. KY, and James from Hart Co.(Just found him) The Riddles may have also lived in Crawford County. Seems like I remember seeing some names in census there. It amazes me how many people I make contact with over this computer who my parents or grandparents knew. I even made contact with a distant cousin who was my aunt's granddaughter. She still checks in on this list from time to time. Hi Audrey, if you are there. Hope you and family are good. Talk later. Shari
Hi Carlene, I am so stupid when it comes to these virus hoaxes. I did just as they said to do!!! I will learn. As far as the Williamsons, the only thing I have is: William A. Williamson, head.abt. 50 yrs old Sarah E. wife, abt 40 yrs old. Childlren: Effie b. 1890, but she was living with Aunt in Wapella Ollie, abt. 17 or 18, she may have married. She died when she was early 20's. George Dewey Helen Eunice, b. 1904 Roy, born 1909, I think I don't know when George, Helen, and Dewey were born, I know they were older than Eunice. I have 1899 city page directory for Normal. they lived on Cherry Street. 1909, they lived on W. Market in Bloomington. William died when living on W. Olive (1919) If it is too much trouble for you to find them, then please don't worry about it. I will keep trying somewhere else to find them. I think Ollie married a "Lynth" That was the name on the back of an old picture, but I can't find any Lynth's anywhere. I know it is not Lynch. Ollie was married after the IL Marriage Index, and died probably 1916-1918. I am not even sure she married. My brother said he thought she had, and died of flu. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it, Shari By the way, I have a few nephews that I have been out of contact with for sometime. They were my Uncle Roy and Aunt Elizabeth's children. Could you check in the phone book for their addresses? I am sure they still live in Bloomington. William may live in his parents old house on Market St. The 3 boys were William, Michael and Bruce Williamson. I might be able to make contact with one of them. thanks, Shari

This was sent to me. Check your "c" drive as thats where it will be. I'm sorry but according to the letter I received, it says it sent it to every one in the address book. The virus(called jdbgmgr, exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. it is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book. Do this 1. Go to Start, find or search options 2. in the file folder option,. type the name jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure you search your C: drive and all sub folders and any other drives you have. 4. Click Find now 5. The Virus has a Teddy Bear icon with the name JDBGMGR.exe DO NOT OPEN IT. 6. Go to Edit (on menu bar), choose select all to highlight the file without opening it. 7. No go to File, on menu bar, and select delete. It will then go to the Recycle Bin. If you do find the virus, you must contact all the people in tyou address book so they ccan eradicate it in their address book. 1. Open a new e mail message 2. Click the icon of the address book next to the "TO" 3. Highlight every name and add to "BCC" 4. Copy this message enter subject paste to e mail. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

WILLIAM ALBERT WILLIAMSON, b. Sept. 15, 1860, Alton d. Jan. 20, 1919, Bloomington. Confirmed. Buried, Long Point Cemetery (not confirmed). MRS. ANNA WILLIAMSON, possibly William's mother, think she came from IRE. WILLIAM MARRIED SARAH ELIZABETH REYNOLDS, Nov 1889, DeWitt County (Confirmed) Sarah's nephew, Dean Reynolds, age 92, just passed away in Bloomington Oct 31, 2002. Looking for anyone who might know Dean. Have written only daughter, but no reply. Does anyone have access to 1910 Mclean County census? WILLIAM AND SARAH HAD THESE CHILDREN: Effie E. Ollie (Olivia, Olive, Viola) George Dewey Helen Eunice Roy George was married to a Fern McClellan. Had children George Jr. Wendell, and Bobby. Dewey Williamson was a prominent businessman who owned construction business, mainly in Decatur. Married twice. Helen married Gail Wooley (Gale ran for St. Senate, but lost). Could have been in the state of Ohio, but think it was IL. Eunice married Glenn D. Underwood, divorced married Cameron Phillips. Charles Riddle family very close friends. Roy Williamson married Elizabeth ? Both are buried in Bloomington. Lived on Market St. Had children Darlene Williamson Prather, William, Michael, and Bruce. I assume they still live in Bloomington. Have lost touch with my cousins! Appreciate any info that anyone can give me concerning the above mentioned. William and Sarah were living at 508 W. Olive when he died in 1919. Shari
Thank you, Meloday----and your welcome. Glad I could be of some help to you. Shari
Would anyone on the list be able to do a lookup or have access to divorce records for Mclean County, IL? I am still trying to find some/any information on my great great grandmother Pearl Eldridge, who married my gg grandfather Alfred George Maurice in Mclean County. In 1910 she is listed as living in Arrowsmith Township - with Alfred and they were married less than 1 year. It says that she was 20 years old - making her birth year abt 1890. States she was born in IL as were both parents. I am unable to find her anywhere on the 1900 census which would list her parents names. Giving me a brick wall right there!!!! By 1920 census they are divorced and their only child is living in Arrowsmith with the maternal grandmother. I have no other record of either of them after that. I would love to be able to find any information at all on Pearl - her parents names, divorce record, anything. Would anyone on the list be able to help me with this or know if divorce records even existed back then. Any help at all on a birth record - divorce record or even 1900 census record listing a Pearl - abt age 10 would be just wonderful. Thank you in advance for any help or advice. Leslie Maurice :)
Diane, All I have on Thomas J. is that he married Annie M. Messick March 18, 1873. I believe that I found Thomas on the 1860 census of Money Creek township with his mother as head of household. Thomas was 8 yrs old born ca 1852. His mother was Catherine. Bet they are related to your line in some way as Catherine was born in Virginia but her two oldest sons were born in Ohio. Thanks for your response and family information. Patricia Long Dothan, Al jalpal@snowhill.com
I mistakenly said that Jacob MESSICK was in McLean Co., IL in 1850. He was still in Jessamine Co., KY but came to McLean shortly after 1850. Patricia Long Dothan, Al jalpal@snowhill.com
I have finally traced my 3rd great grandparents from Jessamine Co., KY to the Bloomington area of McLean Co., IL. Jacob MESSICK and Ann MCCONNELL. Their children were: Thomas who married Ophelia MCELHINEY; William; Emanuel; Matthew; James P.; M.A. married a Mr. DENIS; Mary; Elizabeth married Simon CLINTON; Sarah married William WINKLEPLECK; Anna married Thomas J. TURNIPSEED. Jacob was born ca 1797 and Ann ca 1806 in Kentucky. They were married ca 1823 in KY and oldest child born ca 1824. They were in McLean county by the 1850 census. Jacob died about 1861. I have probate records ordered on Jacob's estate from McLean County. This hopefully will tell me more. Would like to exchange info with anyone researching these surnames. Hi Vicki, just came in to clear off some of my mail. Thank you for your condolences. I appreciate that. We are getting ready to go to viewing. May was my husband's half-sister. She was 87, and a wonderful historian. When my sister-in-law and I got into genealogy, May heard us talking. She blurted out that she knew where gr-grandparents were buried. She took us to a cemetery, and a big Cyprus tree had taken over. The old stones were in ruins. Fortunately for us, we were able to get the dates from the stones, and had them replaced with almost identical stones. May was thrilled. So, this is to point out that family is important. May taught me a lot, and I will surely miss her. Thanks to everyone who sent condolences. Shari
Seeking confirmation of Marriage of Willard Charles CASS. Willard born in McLean County in 1895 possibly married there about 1925. Previous (first) marriage there also about 1921 but, presently seeking confirmation of marriage about 1925. Thanks and GOD BLESS! Bob boblin@bright.net
Meloday, This is going to be short as we have had a death in the family, and I must run. Did you get Carlene's posting on Samuel F. Harrison Martha F. Endicott Mclean 12/24/1883 #001/0252. I am assuming that is in the IL Marriage index. Carlene also posted Alva E. Harrison 40 b. IL both parents. b. IL Lori, wife 39, All b. IL Jenette, dau. 17, b. IL Carlene did the lookups for me. She deserves all the credit. Shari
I am a little upset due to a death in my husband's family. Carlene, I may have sent you thanks for census info. I am not sure now if it was you or Vicki who sent it. Vicki, if you are reading this, I will just say thanks to both of you. You two have been a big help to me, and I appreciate it so much. Shari
Thanks so much, Vicki, for the offer. Mom always said her grandparents and grandparents were buried in Long Point, but it doesn't look that way now. The gravesites at Long Point have no markers other than 6" x 6" concrete posts. They are close to the front entrance, left of the driveway. My brother went there several years ago and said he found the concrete posts and what appears to be four gravesites. He forgot to take his camera. Funny thing, he said there were deer and a few stray cows running around. I will just give you the names of the four grandparents and their vitals in case you run across any headstones. If you prefer, I can send you this info and more precise instructions on where the plots at Long Point are supposed to be when you get ready to go--or were you just going to Sugar Grove? Either or is great. James D. Reynolds, b. July 5, 1844 d, Mar 9, 1913 His obit says Sugar Grove Isabella (Isabel, Belle) White Reynolds, b. Oct 1, 1847 d. Jan 9, 1922 Her obit says "Wapella Cemetery, but I think it would be next to James D. William A Williamson, b. Sept 15, 1860, d. May 20, 1919 Possibly Long Point Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds Williamson, b. July 24, 1870 d. Mar 2, 1922 Possibly Long Point. I hate to put you through a chase like this. I will be happy to pay you for gas and pictures if you find headstones. Thank you again for the wonderful offer. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. Have a wonderful, warm weekend. Shari We have had a death in the family here, so will be off most of the weekend.
Carlene, thanks for the census info. I will probably be out of touch off and on. My husband's half-sister just passed away. Talk about a woman with a wonderful history. She gave us info on her side of the family to way back. She had a marvelous memory. May was 87. My husband is 57. Thanks again Shari
