    3. Hi, Does anyone have access to death index for 1897? My gggrandfather lived in Mclean Co. for a short time and we believe he must have died there. He followed his sister Mary James Compher Brunney there. He was brought back to Ohio and burried in Ross. Co. so I do have his date of death as: June 29, 1897. No death certificate exists in Ross Co. My cousins said Mary who was his grandma told him William died in Illinois. Can anyone help please? Thanks Valerie

    3. Can anybody tell me where Stouts Grove Cemetery is located? I am trying to find where Sophronia E PARKER , died June 18, 1880, Danvers Township, McLean Co, IL, is buried. Sophronia PARKER was the widow of Dr. James E PARKER, died July 23, 1879, Danvers Township, McLean, IL. I assume that he is buried at Stouts Grove Cemetery also, but have no real proof. Is there someone that may have a listing of all the people that are buried there? Thanks, Kit

    3. Hi Matt! Here is the website for Bob Halsey's page. http://members.tripod.com/rehfla/index.html I have 12 children listed for Alexander and Rebecca: Sally Scott Dr. Alexander Keith Scott b. 25 Feb 1817 John B. Scott b. abt. 1845 Nancy Scott b. abt 1818 Sarah Scott b. 6 Dec 1823 Jane Isabelle Scott b. 19 Dec 1823 Ira G. I want to get as many supporting documents (birth, death, marriage certificates, biographies, etc...) as I can. If you have any that you could provide me a copy of, I would be most appreciative. Nov. 17, 1885, Bloomington. Church record says she is the daughter of Jacob Oesterlie and Elizabeth nee Epley Oesterlie. or ANNA MARY EPLEY, b. Nov. 17, 1885, Bloomington, daughter of ? and Elizabeth (nee ?) Epley. Family history says that Anna Mary's father died prior to her bap.; that Jacob Oesterlie was step-father, thus the confusion surrounding her true last name. Any help would sure be appreciated. 3. Hi I am trying to find out if there is a Rose Hill Cemetery and a St. Charles Hotel in the vicinity of McLean County. I have a copy of a death notice for Nancy Wiley who died in August, 1887. It states that she died at the St. Charles Hotel "in this city" and that her daughter Miss L.A. Wiley was the proprietress of this hotel. She ws buried in Rose HIll Cemetery. Since I found her with her husband on the 1880 Census in McLean County, I thought she might be buried there but haven't been able to find a cemetery by the name in McLean County. Does anyone have any ideas for me as to where these might be? Thanks so much. Carolyn Curtis [email protected]

    3. Heyworth Public Library is 309-473-2313. There is no genealogical library in Heyworth. It appears Thomas Lake Gordon may be related to the Lake-Bishop line. They started in VA went to Sangamon Co. IL and then to McLean Co. near Heyworth. There is a Lake-Bishop genealogy at the McLean Co. Museum of History LIbrary in Bloomington. Please do not ask me about this line as I am not related to it nor have I researched it. N. 1. [ILMCLEAN-L] CLARK, TUTT and GASTON from Cheneys Grove
    2. Paul Frost
    3. I am searching for certain people who lived in Cheneys Grove Twp. in the 1860's. I am looking for: 1. John CLARK, a tailor, born ca 1810-17 in Ohio County, VA. In the 1860 census he was living in the household of his son-in-law John Tutt. In 1880 he was in Bloomington and disappears from the record after that. He was a corporal in Co. F, 116th Illinois Infantry in the Civil War. 2. John TUTT, a carpenter, born in KY. He married Alice CLARK, daughter of John CLARK. John TUTT was a 1st lieutenant, Co. F, 116th Illinois Infantry and died of erysipelas at Younge Pointe, LA 26 January 1863. 3. William GASTON, a farmer, born in Ohio Co., VA. He enlisted as a corporal in Co. F, 116th Illinois Infantry and died of typhoid fever at Cheneys Grove on 9 October 1862. Does anyone have any information on these people? Also, are there any cemeteries in the area and, do any people with these surnames appear in the cemetery records? (CLARK moved away and TUTT was probably buried in Louisiana but GASTON may have been buried in Cheneys Grove and one or more of TUTT's children may have been buried there as well). Thank You Paul Frost [email protected]
