I recently found information on my family in a biography of the Keller family. It lists McClean Co, IL as their location in 1870. Could someone look up a birth and death for me? According to this reference: On Oct. 31, 1870 George Franklin KELLER was born and his mother, Lydia (Rale) KELLER died in childbirth. Of course, if there is a cemetery listing for Lydia Keller I would also be excited. Art, sorry to say, no luck. The index for 1850 Illinois shows about 30 Maxwells, but no Levi. There are three in McLean Co., Elizabeth, Ephraim and another I didn't write down. I checked all three and they were single people, no children or spouse'. Let me know if you need anything else. I am seeking information on the Jacob SAKEMILLER family from Hudson Twp, McLean County, Illinois. Jacob SAKEMILLER was born abt 1854 in Trenton, Butler Co. Ohio. He married Anna GASSON (born 29 May 1857 in Darke Co Ohio) about 1876, probably in Miami Twp. Montgomery County, Ohio, and they had 5 (known)children: 1. Elizabeth M. born 1876 in Trenton, Butler Co Ohio 2. Mary C. born 1877 in Miami Twp. Montgomery Co Ohio 3. Charles 4. Jacob 5. Jennie Mae born 10 May 1883 died 15 Dec 1958 (Buried in San Pedro, Los Angeles, Calif.) Jenne married Irwin Salzman on 2 May 1901 in Hudson, McLean Co Illinois. I followed this family to the 1880 Census in Montgomery Co Ohio. Supposedly, after the death of Anna (Gasson) Sakemiller, Jacob moved with the children to Hudson, McLean Co Illinois. (I just recently discovered where the family moved after leaving Ohio). I am researching the surname GASSON and would love to have the information on this family to complete the line. I saw your surnames Moorman and Noble on the McLean Co. list. While I don't have any connection to those names, I did watch out for them yesterday while I was at the Illinois State University Library. I worked part of the way through the 1870 City of Bloomington Census and did not see any sign of those names--it may be some time before I get back. However there is a 1925 (reprint 1968) Historical Society publication that lists marriages in McLean Co from 1831-1841 and it listed several Nobles. Noble, Wm. C married Isabel Jane Stewart 10/31/1839 Munson, Ira married Sarah Jane Noble 12/10/1837 I don't know if these help at all but know when I don't much to go on--anything seems helpful. I am looking for any information on George M. Daniels of McLean County. He was born about 1831 in VA, and moved to Illinois between 1850 and 1860. He may have been a gunsmith.
