Hi, Norma: I would also like to obtain the information about the Sharp-Maurer marriage and any related people. A John Kohler was ordained as minister of the North Danvers Mennonite Church about 1899. He also married a Katie Maurer in 1881. Most of the Sharps in the church at that time were related to my family. Thanks. Rooters, Do any of you have anything on Sallie Collier Allen, DAR # 270626, address used on DAR application 1941 was 318 North Street, Normal, McLean County Illinois. Her application showed born 17 Dec 1890, Petersburg, Menard County, Illinois. Her application shows spouse as Hiram Jay ALLEN. I can find no trace of her or him. She used Joseph Collier, my ggggf, as her ancestor and had family bible and other unpublished papers as documentation. Maybe her descendants have the bible and documents. Lettuce spray. Mac

That way if someone on the list or searching the archives is researching a particular surname, the information will be posted for them to see as well. The address is: Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 302 E. Miller St., Bloomington, IL 61701. Phone: 309-827-6950. You should be able to get information from the records there. Note that this cemetery now includes what was once known as the "Old City Cemetery," and records for that part may not be readily available due to a fire in the past. Playing catch up after extended trip. Noted no one has replied to the question about Evergreen Cemetery. Hope this is helpful. I would be interested in anything the list may have on this family. Could you include me in the distribution, please. Kay, That first paragraph is not correct. I got my generations mixed up there. The first paragraph should read: Martha Rayburn's father, Judge James Rayburn was the brother of my 3rd grt grandfather, Joseph Rayburn born in 1812 in Greenbrier Co, VA., which is where Judge James was born in 1779. They moved to Ross Co, OH > to London OH > to McClean Co IL. My source for the information abt the Shough family is the "The Descendents of Edward Rayburn" written by Earl Morris. I have not followed up on the Shough information, so I don't guarantee the correctness of the information. Sorry for the mix up! Were any of your SHOUGH family married to RAYBURN's. The sister to my 2nd grt grandfather, Calvin Mead RAYBURN, Martha RAYBURN was married to John B. SHOUGH in Madison Co OH on Sept 21st 1848: and their daughter, Rebecca Jane Shough married William K.M. RAYBURN. I know they all lived in McClean Co for a while. Martha's father, Judge James RAYBURN, died in McClean Co in 1882. They all moved to McClean co from the London, Madison Co, OH around 1850. I have that Martha and John Shough had 10 children, James R Shough, John B, Annie B (spouse Milton Harsh), Frank P, Susan (spouse Fred Drogmund), Ulysses G, Robert P., Edda M (spouse, Dora Kistler). Rebecca Jane (spouse, William K.M. Rayburn), and William Shough. I have Rebecca Jane Shough-Rayburn died in Butler Co KS, March 2, 1872. This is about all I have, really nothing about the Shoughs before John B. Hope this helps a bit. You can email me direct if you like. < [email protected] > Karen K - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- Karen Rayburn-Kirschenman Researching: Rayburn, Boose, Nagel, Barnetson, Burris, Salow, Martin, Campbell, Holden, Sayward, Dungan, Pular, Therun, Newman, Bell, Chouteau.
