    3. I will add that most of the McLean County cemetery books that I have used to do lookups have been excellent. They are arranged by township in alphabetical order by family groups--often referencing spouses, children, dates--sometimes even those buried elsewhere. If you can't find the cemeteries that you are looking for through the McLean County Genealogical Society, you might try contacting the group in Lexington. I was told that they did many of the cemeteries--especially those in the north part of McLean County. Contact info is Lexington Genealogical Library Verda Gerwick 318 W. Main Street Lexington 309-365-4591. I have never been to this library but understand that they have quite a collection. If you plan to visit this area for research, you may want to consider including a stop here. 1. [ILMCLEAN-L] cemtery records
    2. The correct source is the McLean County Genealogical Society, PO box 488, Normal, IL 61761-0488. They have several publications, including McLeacn Co. Cemetery Locations (95 cemteries), and McLean Co. Cemetery Records (25 volumes). These were listed in the most recent Newsletter. They have a library in the McLean County Museum of History in the old courthouse in Bloomington. The gift shop there also sells these and many other publications on marriage records, family records, birth records, naturalization abstracts, some census info, soldier burials, old obituaries, etc. I don't know the prices. They also have a web page at www.mcgs.org, although it does not list the publications that I could find. There is a library phone number at (309) 827-0428 Ext. 28. Hope this helps. 3. Hi Sheri, I've gotten them from the Bloomington-Normal Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 488, Normal, IL 61761. There is a website where they are available, but I can't find it right now. They are quite reasonably priced. Don't have the cemetery books, but I have the following obtained from this source and will gladly do lookups. If everyone will limit the number of look up requested at one time to two, and understand that these old bones won't tolerate this chair for long, will be happy to do it. 2. Marriage licenses can also be obtained from IRAD for 25 cents a copy, if they have the record. Check the statewide marriage index. If it's there, write to IRAD at Illinois State University. You can find their address and the statewide marriage index at www.usgenweb.com, under the state information.
