Still looking for William Albert Williamson, born Alton, IL. abt 1860-1863, and wife Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds Williamson, born Robinson, IL, abt. 1870. They lived in Normal in 1899. They lived in Bloomington until their deaths. William died May 5, 1919, and Sarah died March 2, 1922. Both are buried with Sarah's parents at Long Point Cemetery near Wapella. The Bloomington City Directory shows William and Sarah living at 411 W. Market, and William was a salesman. Their children were Ollie and Effie, George, Dewey, Roy, Helen, and Eunice. George was married to Fern ? They had George Jr., Wendell, and Bobby. Roy was married to Elizabeth ?. They had children Darlene Williamson Prather, William, Michael, and Bruce. Helen was married to Gail Wooley. They lived in Lima, OH. Helen and Gail's children were Barbara, Beverly, and Betty. Eunice was married to Glenn Underwood, whose brother Ted, lived in Gilman, IL. Ted ran for State Senator, and owned a restaurant in Gilman, until abt. mid 70's. Glenn and Eunice divorced. They had children Betty Jane, who died Dec 16, 1927, Kenneth Rae, who worked for the Pantagraph until he and family moved to FL. Richard Lee. I am the daughter of Eunice, so I do not need info Ken, Richard, or any of Eunice's children, except Betty Jane Underwood, and ex Glenn Underwood. Eunice married Cameron Phillips Sr. in 1931. She had these children with Cameron, Finley William, Roy Waddell, Patrick Malone, Charles Daniel, Camron Jr., and Sharon Jayne Phillips. I am Sharon (Shari). If anyone has access to Bloomington 1920 census, I would appreciate a lookup. I have tried to download it, but have not been successful. Looking for the Street area. William may have been a Freemason. I have an address to contact Grand Lodge. Also, mom used to talk about playing with Adlai Ewing Stevenson III when she was young. Don't know if her parents may have worked for the Stevensons at some point. I know the Stevensons owned many companies in the Bloomington area. One final assumption: Ollie may have married a "Lynth" or "Linth." She died in her early 20's. Thanks for any info you can give me about the Williamsons, and Underwoods. Next time, my text will be shorter. Shari

I am looking for information on the Parker. Mills and Burgett families that lived in McClean County during the 1800's. Particularly Harrison Mills and his wife Lavina Parker Mills. Diane
Hi Listers! Is there anyone out there who could help me with a gravesite in Saybrook and/or McClean County records search? My family of research is FAWCETT. Thanks in advance, Valerie Knecht Hoff of Bellevue, WA
Thanks to you all for helping me with my census question. It was a pleasant surprise to get so much help so quickly. Could some of your move to Jamestown, New York and answer my questions up there? <g> Thanks again. I am interested in the Cole family and cousins. Specifically in McClean it would be Alexander Lincoln Knox and family. Please contact me if you have the same interests. Brian L. Cole Researching Coles from England to MD to OH
Would someone please look for an obit for Amanda Hoeksema who died Feb 4, 1941 in Normal town I have been looking for her death for 20 years and finally found it in the new death index, now I just need the obit. Thank you very much. Linda in California <A HREF="http://www.alienwebresearch.com/">http://www.AlienWebResearch.com/</A>
Is there anyone one the list who has access to a printed version of the 1870 census for McClean? I looked at Page 629 on the microfilm and it is almost wiped out. Has someone looked at the original and deciphered it? I'm trying to get a list of names for Alexander Knox whose family starts, I think, at line 22. I'm pretty sure it's him because he was a Presbyterian minister and that's the occupation of the person at that line. His wife's name should be Martha. The next child should be Charles. The boy at line 28 is William, I think. Can someone help? Brian L. Cole Researching Coles from England to MD to OH

I am looking for a relative who died in Saybrook on 3 October 1970. Her name is Nettie R. Kief Kennedy. She is the wife of Frank Milton Kennedy. Could some one tell me if she shows up in any cemetary in McLean county? Also, is there a place where I can go to get an obit lookup for her? Thanks Tammy Russell

Keep in mind also, that Anchor Twp was formed out of Cropsey Twp. at some time prior to 1900. I have family (CROTINGER) that moved into southern Anchor Twp., and seemed to gravitate more toward Saybrook in Cheneys Grove Twp than to the town of Anchor on the far north end of the twp. In the 1900 McLean County Census, would there be a township between Anchor Twp and Cheney Grove Twp? ladybug@arends-sons.com
Oops! Anchor Twp adjoins Cheney's Grove to the north. North of Anchor Twp there appears to be a small township called Cropsey Twp. Immediately south of Cheney's Grove is Bellflower Twp. These four townships border to the east on Ford County with about the southerly third bordering on Champaign County. Four counties border on these counties on their west side: [North to south] Lawndale, Martin, Arrowsmith, West. This information is from a Township map of McLean County downloaded Feb. 26, 2000 from http://.frontiernet.net/~bsgreen/#Map I don't know if that URL is still valid. Hi, I am looking for information on the family of Oscar BROMAGIN. He was living in Bloomington, IL, at the time of the 1900 Federal Census. According to the census he was born in October 1869. He was enumerated with his wife, Cora, born August 1873, his son Herman, born September 1894, and his daughter Margaret (who later went by the name of Marjorie) who was born in June 1897. I have reason to believe that this family moved to Colorado at some point, since Marjorie married Willard LeRoy Stiles who was born in Colorado, and her brother Herman lived and died there. Anyone with any information about this family may reach me at at njgenealogy@email.com.
