It was issued June 25, 1846 at Woodstock, McHenry County and signed as a witness by the Clerk a Mr. Johnson (I can not read his first name initials). The wedding was solomized on June 27, 1846 by the Rev. Elbridge G. Howe a Congregationalist Minister. I am wondering if there would be anyone who would be able to check on any information on this couple or who would know any information on this couple. We are looking for any history of my great great grandfather, Klas Knutson who married a woman named Ann (Anne) in Illinois sometime between 1844 and 1856. This is the only one that we have come up with so far. According to family story, Klas married Anne who was a widow after her husband died from being kicked by a horse or cow. So if this is the correct couple, then there should also be a death of a Mr. Brenell (Brenele) in the area sometime before this. Klas immigrated from Voss, Norway in 1844 and was known there as Klas Knutson Mosafinn. In 1863 Klas and his son Knut (born in 1856) moved to Pope Co., Minnesota Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Jean in Minnesota
