I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about Lars Pierson who bought 120 acres of land in McHenry County in 1843. I have a great grandfather by this name (spelled Pierson, Pearson at different times). He settled in Cook County. In trying to trace him back to Norway, I'd like to know more about this McHenry Lars Pierson. There was a Lars Pierson who came to this country from Stavenger, Norway in 1837 on the Ship Enigheden.
