Marriage Licenses should be available at the County Clerk's office at the McHenry County Government Center in Woodstock, Illinois. Likewise, Naturalization Papers should be available there. If you were perusing the Herald - did you look before and beyond the license application date to see if there was a wedding announcement or a follow up story on the wedding. Weddings were big news back then! They still print announcements weekly in the paper. Also, Crystal Lake Community High School (now, Crystal Lake Central High School) has all their old Senior Class photos hanging on the hallway walls - they go back to the early 1900s.
