Their son Frederick was born about 1845 and sailed to the US about 1868 at the age of 23. He went from Chicago to the Southern Ill town of Brownville (near Norris City)and appears in the 1870 Census.Frederick first married Mary Elizabeth Shiffer Lane. They had 3 children: Frederick, Mary and John. Mary died giving birth to John.
