    3. Probate for McHenry County is found in the Circuit Court's Office, not County Clerk (here you would find birth, marriage and death). I don't suppose many poor folks did back then. But there was a dispute between two of her sons on the disposition of her remaining property. The McHenry Co. Probate Court appointed an administrator and took an inventory of her property which amounted to $54 worth of personal property (the most valuable of which was a cow worth $30), $146 in cash held by one son and a promisary note for $100 from one Michael Sweeney (for what I don't know). I can't remember for sure, but I think I got these probate records thru the County Clerk in Woodstock. Ann L.
