    2. John, one easy source is the 1872 Atlas of McHenry county - available through the McHenry County Genealogical Society. You may find a copy is large city libraries also - I found it and the family farm at the Houston Library. There are more plats available, and others on this list will know where they are. The county deed records, if accessible to you, will give all the details and really aren't that difficult to research - you don't have to be a title attorney.
